Eggs-celent Bud Vases!

We love creative ideas and saw this fabulous one in Southern Living and had to share it! So easy and fun! Chip the tops off of unboiled eggs with a push pin, drain the egg whites and yolks and soak shells in bleach water for several hours. Dye egg shells and allow to dry. Place shells in egg holders and fill with water and flowers or you can fill with potting soil and rye grass seeds. Either way, a festive table decoration!

Cheers Y'all!

Celebrating the Sweet Life Everyday!

Welcome to Champagne & Cupcakes! A few months ago I made the New Year's Resolution to "Enjoy life to it's fullest" and somewhere between the loads of dirty laundry, piles of clean unfolded laundry, lacrosse practice, track meets, last minute menus, dentist appointments, coupon clipping and dog walking (just to name a few)...enjoying life to the fullest became just getting through the week one day at a time. Well enough is enough! Each day is a new gift, meant to be enjoyed and appreciated, so here I am to make myself do just that.

We are living in a different world, where it is easy to get bogged down in the depressing morning news and daily routine of life. It's the simple and small things in each day that we need to focus on... otherwise we could all find ourselves living dreary and miserable lives and ask ourselves, "Is this really it?". I'm starting this blog to make myself see and do good things each and every day, my version of Oprah's "gratitude journals" from a few years back, if you will. If it can inspire anyone else out there to get out there and find the joy in life then that is just icing on the cupcake!

It's a gorgeous morning so I'm going to walk the dog but after that... well, I'm going to find something to celebrate (and it may just be that I walked the dog!) Cheers Y'all!
